Flounder

Flounder gigging and angling near Angleton, Texas, can be incredibly rewarding, especially in the fall during the annual flounder run. The shallow, muddy flats and back bays of the Galveston Bay system provide ideal habitat for these flatfish. The migration occurs as flounder move from the bays into the Gulf to spawn.
